The transverse scanner is equipped with multiple sensors and related software that make it a perfect choice for any sawmill regardless of size. The Finscan system, specialized in nordic timbers, provides a proven value yield of over 96% at high speeds. The combination of the patented Finscan mirror system with the MiCROTEC 3D technology allows for full-length real-thickness measurement.

Smart design for easy installation and maintenance

The redesigned Finscan arrives pre-assembled and pre-wired for a fast and easy installation. The redesign of the frame ensures maximum stability, while the new housing, visually aligned with MiCROTEC’s product portfolio, allows for easier maintenance access.

A patented mirror scanning system

Thanks to the patented mirror scanning system, Finscan is able to scan and optimize the whole board without the need for additional cameras for the narrow sides.

MiCROTEC 3D module and uniform-colored lamps

The MiCROTEC 3D module with in-house developed Crometic cameras, ensures full-length real thickness measurement and enhanced wane detection. Thanks to the new uniformed colored lamps customers also benefit from a refined color measurement and full integration into the MiCROTEC Ai platform and MiCROTEC Connect. Included in the new Finscan 900 and available as an upgrade to the current Finscan version.

Artificial Intelligence (Deep Learning AI) is integrated into all quality scanners from log to finished board. The AI knowledge of all MiCROTEC companies is merged into the MiCROTEC Ai platform, raising the possibilities of Deep Learning AI in the wood industry to a completely new level.
