A Shared Vision Becomes Reality

France Poutres aims to industrialize production while developing employee skills. “The challenge for us is to continue the industrialization process of our company to achieve greater efficiency and productivity, but above all to further develop the skills of our employees,” says Olivier Chapeau, President of France Poutres.

The new line features Goldeneye, M3 Scan, Viscan, and Warpscan enabling Virtual Splitting—simulating optimal board division before cutting. “Thanks to this scanner technology, we now have much more precise control over the quality of the wood and receive valuable feedback that helps us better adapt to demand,” Chapeau explains.

Automation That Empowers People

By automating visual and structural grading with Goldeneye and Viscan, consistency has improved significantly. “What used to be checked with the naked eye is now done by the scanner, making the data more reliable. At the same time, our employees can move up to more highly skilled positions” Chapeau notes.

The system is designed for various product types and changing production needs. “This automated and industrialized plant was designed from the outset to be flexible and adaptable.”

Built for the Future

Equipped with fully integrated systems and virtual optimization tools, France Poutres is ready to grow. The entire project was realized in close collaboration with System TM, a MiCROTEC partner. “Our vision is to further expand our capacities in order to be better equipped to compete and to develop timber construction.”

This progress was made possible by a close, solution-oriented partnership. “In a word: very satisfactory. The entire process went smoothly—from defining requirements to implementation. We were very pleased with the work of MiCROTEC,” Chapeau concludes.
